FEI MESSAGE FOR YEAR OF YOUTH 2009
Seán Walsh supports the FEI Year Of Youth 2009. Here is a statement from the FEI regarding the FEI Year Of Youth:
The FEI extends a warm welcome to young equestrians all over the world to unite in the Year of Youth, 2009.
We hope that through this initiative, more young people will be able to learn about, participate in, and share their equestrian experiences. It is called the ‘Year of Youth’ because our focus this year is on engaging young people in the sport, and we hope that we can use this opportunity as a platform to help get you involved.
By logging on to the Year of Youth site, you have already made a connection with the FEI and we hope that you will continue to follow us as the year progresses. We have plenty to look forward to and we are hoping that you will be contributing to this collaboration between the FEI and young riders across the globe.
This site has been created with you in mind and you can become more involved as it grows. We currently have a YouTube channel, Facebook Group, Bebo, MySpace page, Twitter and Flickr. Each of these channels has been developed to help us talk together about equestrianism and we need your thoughts and ideas to help us make this year a success.
With celebrity blogs, a video page and an equestrian social media search engine all to come, we have a great deal to look forward to in the coming months. If there are particular aspects of equestrianism that interest you, or if you have questions that need answering, our easy to use search engine format will enable you find whatever you need within the equestrian world. Our wish, through this initiative, is that by sharing your experiences, you will be able to learn from each other and ultimately grow together.
This year is really about getting to the heart of equestrianism and we look forward to you welcoming us into your world.
