SPLAINE REVEALS TEAM FOR SPRUCE MEADOWS NATIONS' CUP

Horse Sport Ireland Team Manager Robert Splaine today (Friday) revealed his team for the Nations' Cup competition that will take place in Spruce Meadows, Canada on Saturday week (September 12).


In alphabetical order the Irish team is:

Shane Breen; Carmena Z
Cameron Hanley; Southwind VDL
Dermott Lennon; Hallmark Elite
Cian O'Connor; Rancorrado

Splaine said today: "Spruce Meadows is of course one of the biggest shows in the world, and features a one million dollar Grand Prix as well as the Nations' Cup. It is a prestigious event with which to round off what has been a successful season for the the Irish squads. We had a very good performance at the European Championships in Windsor last week, and Spruce Meadows will be a fitting conclusion to senior show jumping's high performance programme for 2009."
