End of Dublin Horse Show
Today was the final day of the horse show. The day began early for me as I was helping my girlfriend Martha as she was competing in the 5yr old final. Having walked the course I felt it would be difficult to ride a clear round. It was a big course and extremely spooky for the horses to jump in the main arena. Martha was unlucky to have 4 faults yet happy that the horse performed so well. We packed up after this and loaded the horses before heading home back to Waterfall Stud Farm.
It was a very good week in Dublin. I learned a lot from competing and watching the International riders. I think the Irish riders performed well in the International classes. The standard is very high at the show and always a wonderful one to compete at.
Now that it is over I will spend a lot of time this week working with the younger horses to get them back on track and see what shows will be coming up in the next week.
