Ireland's Kellie Allen Wins Gold at Euro Pony Championships

The excellent performance of the pony team showjumpersat the European Championships (see separate news release) meant that four of the Irish riders were nicely poised in the top ten of the individual rankings going into Monday’s final. Both Michael Duffy and Kellie Allen were on four faults and tied for second place behind Denmark’s Jessica Vinther Jensen on Nikolina, while Alex Buller and Emma O’ Dwyer were on eights faults each.

Irish eyes were smiling once again on Monday when Kellie Allen and Ballyowen Maybell Molly maintained the positive momentum with two clear rounds to come through and take the Gold medal. Emma O’ Dwyer took fourth place, while Michael Duffy finished in seventh to mark a marvelous weekend for the Irish.
